Christmas in June! The FedEx lady and the UPS man brought us boxes and boxes of sponsored necessities; thanks to Northcott Woodturning for 600 beautifully made pegs. Thanks to GRK for boxes and boxes of their structural fasteners (and the drivers to install them). Thanks to Hilti for the magic chemistry that will hold it all to the foundation - and the tools to install that.
A great day of accomplishment in the cutting shed - mountains of cutoffs and piles of sawdust beginning to accumulate - the School is providing barrels and pallets - so nothing is underfoot, and the site actually looks pretty good. Timberframers and tools everywhere you look.
We haven't tripped over the film crew yet - they have proved adept at feigning invisibility . . . they've even been showing up at out 0700 leadership meeting (when we are at out best) to discover the inside secrets of what it takes to run a Swiss-watch of a project like this one (the answer is good coffee.)
